Kenny speculates Son and Ndombele could follow Kane out of Tottenham exit door
Paddy Kenny has tipped Heung-Min Son and Tanguy Ndombele to quit Tottenham if Harry Kane leaves.
The former Leeds stopper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claims the duo will leave Spurs to find Champions League football.
In April, this site first broke the news that Kane wants to quit Tottenham this summer.
Sky Sports have since claimed the striker has asked to leave and attracted interest from both Manchester clubs and Chelsea.
As revealed by Football Insider earlier this month, Real Madrid have approached Tottenham over a potential deal for Ndombele.
Kenny claims Spurs must use the money they receive for Kane to strengthen their squad in a bid to appease Son and Ndombele.
“If they do get that money for Kane, they can use that to strengthen elsewhere,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“If the likes of Son and Ndombele are as ambitious as Kane, they are going to want to leave, aren’t they?
“You see a player like him go and not be replaced, that’s going to make them want to go.
“They want to be playing in the Champions League on a regular basis. Tottenham’s chances of getting European football with Kane being out are going to be even harder.
“So these players could be moving on. Unless they invest, they could see themselves dropping down the league. They aren’t going to have the players they had before.”
Ndombele, 24, started 28 of Tottenham’s Premier League games last season.
Son was a vital player in the early stages of the season as he scored eight goals in Spurs’ first six games of the season.
In other news, pundit rips into Tottenham mainstay and claims Daniel Levy would be stupid to offer him a new deal.
