Kris Boyd: This is how much Celtic squad is worth
By Matt Farr
Rangers favourite Kris Boyd believes Celtic’s squad would be worth up to just £80million if they sold their best players.
Celtic cruised to a sixth consecutive Scottish Premiership title with a thumping 5-0 win over Hearts on Sunday, with one of Celtic’s most consistent performers, Scott Sinclair, netting a superb hat trick.
However, it is star trio Moussa Dembele, Kieran Tierney and Stuart Armstrong that have started to attract the big clubs with their performances this term, and Boyd is worried they could quit the club if Brendan Rodgers leaves.
Boyd believes the Celtic chief could be considered as a replacement for Arsene Wenger at Arsenal this summer, but insists his departure would see the club’s star trio depart.
In his column for the Scottish Sun, Boyd declared that Celtic’s squad would be worth up to just £80million if they were to sell Dembele, Tierney and Armstrong.

He wrote: “Moussa Dembele could soon be on his way, whether Rodgers is the manager or not. Kieran Tierney has a different club looking at him every other week.
“Now Stuart Armstrong is an international player who is certain to attract big interest.
“It’s okay to say the club would be raking in millions but it’s not easy replacing quality players. Celtic’s squad is probably worth £80million if they sold their best players.”
The full-back has been linked with both Arsenal and Manchester United having thrived under the stewardship of Rodgers this term.
But after playing such influential roles for the club over the course of their title-winning campaign, Celtic fans will be determined not see any of their top players, or the manager, quit the club this summer.
