Leeds fans have heaped praise on young goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell after he made his international debut on Monday night.
Peacock-Farrell played for the Northern Ireland Under-21 team and kept a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw against Iceland Under-21s.
He played a solid game in the latest landmark for the 21-year-old after recently making the breakthrough into the Leeds first-team under manager Paul Heckingbottom.
He has played well for Leeds too, and seemingly displaced former number one Felix Wiedwald from his place between the sticks.
Last night he was called on in injury time to make a stop from Iceland’s Albert Gudmundsson, and secure the draw for the home side.
After the game the official Leeds Twitter page posted a message celebrating his debut.
And Leeds fans took to Twitter to celebrate their new hero, although one fans said he would be “sold in summer for peanuts and replaced by Victor Orta’s nonsense” – you can’t please everyone!
