The top-of-the-table clash between Wolves and Cardiff on Friday night certainly lived up to its billing, but it took until deep into injury time for the fireworks to happen.
With Wolves leading 1-0, Cardiff were sensationally awarded two penalties, in the 94th and 96th minutes, and missed both of them.
Cardiff manager Neil Warnock was left unhappy with the Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo after the final whistle and was seen on TV shouting expletives at him after Nuno tried to shake his hand.
That followed celebrations on the final whistle, that Warnock considered excessive.
Talking to the BBC afterwards Warnock said: “I went to shake his hand and he ran off. If that’s how they’re taught in Portugal then fair enough, but not in Britain.
“I don’t want to speak to him. He can say anything after the game – I’m talking about when the whistle goes, what he should do, the etiquette, the manners, the class.
“They’ve won the game. They should shake your hand and say unlucky or something, not run off like that and rub your noses in it. A disgrace.”
To be fair to Nuno it was a huge result, an incredibly dramatic finale and three points that probably seals his side’s return to the Premier League – how is he supposed to react?
Leeds fans. who know Warnock all too well from his time as manager at Elland Road, said that it shows Warnock’s true colours and sided with the Wolves manager over the incident.
Here are the best reactions from Leeds fans:
What a complete bell end. His players miss two goals in added time and he then shows his complete contempt for the best team in the league with that petulant reaction. # Colin

Classless man, managing a classless club. Always hated him with a passion. I refused to watch leeds whilst he was in charge, signing his old boys for one final pay cheque.

Football really can bring out the spoilt child in the oldest and most experienced of men. Neil Warnock is a disgrace. Grow up and accept the defeat. The Wolves manager just endured his team conceding 2 penalties in 3 minutes, he's entitled to celebrate still actually winning..
