'Dreadful', 'Clueless', 'FFS' – Leeds fans despair at one player after shocker v Sunderland
Leeds fans were calling for top-scorer Pierre-Michel Lasogga to be brought back into the starting XI against Sunderland today but it quickly became a case of be careful what you wish for.
Manager Paul Heckingbottom has preferred Cale Ekuban in recent games but he was benched today and Lasogga given the nod.
It didn’t work out very well though and the anticipation at Elland Road quickly dissolved into mocking songs from the stands as both sets of fans sang about how poor they were.
Lasogga got the brunt of most of the criticism from the Leeds fans for another slow and listless display at the front of the attack.
One fan went as far as to say that he hurts the way that Leeds play and pretty much all of them bemoaned his limited movement.
Sunderland took the lead early on in the first half but Pablo Hernandez equalised to share the spoils, despite a late red card for Gaetano Berardi.

Here are the best reactions from frustrated Leeds fans who have only seen 11 their side score 11 league goals since Heckingbottom arrived:
I feel like we are very limited with lasogga up front, at least with say ekuban he’s mobile and can move about!

sunderland are playing o'shea at cb ffs why is lasogga even starting…i know ekuban is shit but his pace will cause them problems.

@WYSdaily Some nice build up play, we need a mobile striker with more to their game than Lasogga. Disappointed we haven't gambled and put one of the young trio of strikers on the bench.

People that complain about Ekuban — are you seeing the difference with Lasogga today? He's been dreadful. Hasn't made a single run or connected play with Samu & Pablo. You can't just pretend this isn't hurting how we play. #LUFC

Do not agree with the hype around Lasogga. He can finish, but he’s too slow and never in the areas he needs to be. We shouldn’t renew his loan or sign him in the summer for me. #lufc

Phillips doing well, couple of bone crunching tackles, the kind of fight we need for this second half! Ps. Is Lasogga still on the pitch? Barely touched the ball? #lufc

Lasogga really is shite. Totally clueless. Pablo looks more dangerous as CF. #lufc

Why do we thread balls into the channels for Lasogga, whos about as mobile as a tree, but lump it long when Ekuban plays? Ekuban would of troubled these at the back with his pace and movement.
