Paul Heckingbottom has announced his starting XI for the Championship game against Sunderland on Saturday and fans are delighted with the starting XI, but confused as to who one of their substitutes is.

It’s been a rough start for Heckingbottom at Leeds so far, with just two wins to cling onto, but fans will be hoping for three points at home to struggling Sunderland.

Heckingbottom has had more injuries to deal with after Matthew Pennington and Eunan O’Kane limped off in the 2-0 defeat to Fulham in midweek.

That forced him into some changes on Saturday, with Paudie O’Connor getting his senior debut.

And Heckingbottom wasn’t finished with the youngsters there, giving Under1-8 star Callum Nicell a place on the bench.

And that led to a chorus of questions from Leeds fans who don’t know who he is. Thankfully there were some more knowledgeable fans to put them straight.
