'Beyond a joke', 'Stealing a living' – Leeds fans tear their hair out as one man starts v Sheff Weds

Paul Heckingbottom announced his starting XI to take on Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship on Saturday, and fans are gutted to see Eunan O’Kane starting.

With the play-offs out of reach, the rest of the season becomes an exercise in who Heckingbottom wants to keep for next season, and he’ll be looking for commitment and passion from his team today.

And fans don’t think O’Kane has shown any of that in recent weeks.

One player who is missing is Samu Saiz who picked up an injury.

The team news was announced on the official Leeds Twitter account ahead of the 3pm kick-off:

Saiz has been a standout player for Leeds though and they’ve struggled without him this season – notably when he was suspended for six games.

However, fans will be hoping for a first league win in March, after two 3-0 defeats to Middlesbrough and Wolves, and a 2-2 draw with Reading.

They can’t believe they’re going to get it though, with O’Kane starting again.
