Leeds tipped to seal fix with 'quality' after source's transfer reveal - pundit
Leeds United are in a “really dicey situation” and must add “quality players” this month, according to Kevin Campbell.
The former Arsenal striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the Whites will face stiff competition for their targets from Premier League rivals.
A Leeds source told this site on Tuesday (11 January) that the club can only make loan signings this month due to financial fair play restrictions.
Football Insider revealed last month (18 December) that the Whites are looking to add two midfielders after ripping up their original plans due to the ongoing injury crisis.
Director of football Victor Orta is targeting a defensive midfielder as well as a more attack-minded player.
Campbell insisted this month is a “really important window” for relegation-threatened Leeds United.

“They might be able to get players on loan, but there could well be other clubs who are interested in the same players,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.
“It’s a really dicey situation for Leeds at the moment. They’ve got injuries and they’re really struggling.
“I expect them to be ok in terms of relegation in the end, but this is a really important window for Leeds.
“They have to secure some quality players, whether that be on loan or permanently.”
Patrick Bamford, Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper are among a swathe of Leeds United stars currently sidelined after suffering injuries.
