Leeds told to complete James deal after source’s reveal – fans react

Leeds United fans have called for the club to sign Birmingham City midfielder Jordan James before the transfer deadline on 31 August.

This comes after Football Insider revealed that the club have registered their interest in signing the 20-year-old after Glen Kamara’s exit.

Sources say Leeds have a “strong interest” in the midfielder, but face competition from clubs in the Premier League who are also looking to secure a deal.

The departures of Kamara and Archie Gray have left Leeds short of options in the middle despite Joe Rothwell’s arrival, with James providing an interesting option.

As a result, fans have called for Daniel Farke’s side to get a deal over the line quickly, with the season set to begin in just over a week.

James was part of the Birmingham City squad which suffered relegation last season, with Leeds among the clubs looking to take advantage to secure his signature.

He made 47 appearances last time out and became a regular fixture in the Wales squad after earning his first international cap in 2023.

Supporters flooded social media, labelling the potential signing “excellent” and insisting they “would love” to see Leeds get it over the line.

Others suggested the current Welsh contingent at Elland Road could play a part in the deal, with Daniel James, Ethan Ampadu and Joe Rodon all current internationals.
