Leicester fans react on Twitter as Liverpool great slams club

Steven Gerrard delivered a harsh verdict on reigning Premier League champions Leicester – and the club’s supporters have reacted on Twitter.

Liverpool great Gerrard labelled Leicester “cr**” after speaking to a young LA Galaxy fan in the club’s Ride-along feature, which you can watch below.

Leicester travel to Anfield on Saturday for the Premier League clash with both sides on four points after the opening three games.

Gerrard’s comments have now added extra spice to the meeting and the Leicester fans have responded on Twitter.

Liverpool were the only team apart from Arsenal who managed to beat the Foxes in the league last season, with Christian Benteke scoring the decisive goal in a 1-0 win.

However Leicester went on to complete the remarkable achievement of lifting the Premier League trophy, something Liverpool have failed to do since its introduction in the 1992/93 season.

Liverpool went agonisingly close to lifting the title in the 2013/14 season however Steven Gerrard’s infamous slip against Chelsea helped to snatch it away from them.

Defender Ragnar Klavan is set to miss the league clash on Saturday after aggravating a knee injury whilst away on international duty with Estonia.
