Liverpool £7m shy in PL rivals valuation of striker as talks continue - report
By Danny Wright
Liverpool are £7million short of Chelsea’s valuation of Dominic Solanke as the Premier League champions seek a compensation fee for the striker’s exit, according to a report.
The Mirror claims that the two top-flight rivals could now be heading to a tribunal to resolve the cost of Solanke, 19, following his move to Anfield earlier this summer after running down his Chelsea contract
It is understood that the London side are demanding £10million in compensation for the England Under-21 international during talks between the two sides, but Liverpool are only prepared to stump up £3million.
A tribunal is now said to be the most likely outcome to decide on how much the Merseysiders owe Chelsea as talks rumble on.
Solanke signed for Liverpool earlier this summer with the view of earning more first-team football under the charge of Jurgen Klopp.

Just months after making his move, the young striker already has two senior appearances for the Reds, which is more than what he ever earned at Chelsea.
Football Insider Verdict
Liverpool are right to try and lower Chelsea’s valuation of Solanke, but the fact that he is already starting to emerge in Klopp’s first-team plans could lead them to paying more than they would hope at a tribunal. Philippe Coutinho’s future at Anfield remains in the balance and if he leaves it would give the Reds a lot of money to play with in the last few days of the transfer window. But the club will no doubt be hoping that the fee for Solanke would be minimal, otherwise it could effect what they may spend on strengthening their defence in the coming days. Solanke was a brilliant scoop for Liverpool and he definitely has the potential to be a first-team regular in the future.
