Liverpool are in the hunt to sign Anderlecht attacker Jeremy Doku, according to a report.
The Daily Mail claims that the Reds are planning a raid on the Belgian title-holders for their 15-year-old rising star.
It is understood that terms can be agreed with Doku in a matter of weeks when he celebrates his 16th birthday.
The Belgian attacker has been in great form for Anderlecht’s youth sides and has been a regular for the Belgium Under-16s international side.
The left-footed winger may not be the only youngster Liverpool sign in the coming months with the Daily Mail also reporting that Monaco’s Christian Koffi is wanted at Anfield.
The 17-year-old’s contract expires at the Ligue 1 club at the end of the season and the Reds are looking to pounce.
Football Insider verdict
Both Doku and Koffi look like very promising young talents and it seems that Liverpool are trying to snap up some Belgian and French youngsters while they are still teenagers after seeing a wave of incredible talent come through at the two nations. Liverpool have had some issues in signing young players to add their academy in the past so they must make sure that everything is above board this time to ensure that no more sanctions are put on them.
In other Liverpool news, the Reds are on the verge of signing an attacker from this second-placed club.
