‘Liverpool to secure dominance after Alexander Isak signing from Newcastle’
Liverpool will secure a “period of dominance” for multiple seasons with Alexander Isak’s signing from Newcastle this summer, according to Peter Crouch.
The Reds confirmed their second Premier League title of the century on Sunday with a dominant 5-1 victory over a troubled Tottenham.
Mohamed Salah has been in imperious form this season, scoring 28 goals and providing 18 assists for Arne Slot in his first season in charge at Anfield.
However, the Dutchman has struggled to find a striker he can rely on and it looks likely that Darwin Nunez will depart for Saudi Arabia this summer, whilst Diogo Jota may well leave the club as well.
As a consequence, Liverpool are interested in breaking the bank for Isak, and if they manage to secure his signature, it could have dire consequences for rivals of the Merseyside club according to the admittedly-biased Crouch.

Alexander Isak backed to pick Liverpool over Chelsea, Arsenal, Man United
Speaking on Rio Ferdinand’s podcast Rio Presents, ex-Liverpool star Crouch was asked who he could see Isak joining out of the Reds, Chelsea, Arsenal or Man United.
The former England striker revealed he thought the Swedish striker could be heading to Anfield, and his move would spell a “period of dominance” for Slot’s side, saying: “I’m biased obviously but I think if he goes to Liverpool, I think there’s a period of dominance for the next, at least two to three years.
“With [Virgil] Van Dijk and [Mohamed] Salah signing those deals, you get Isak as well. I don’t think there’s a club in the country that can compare to that.”
Alexander Isak would be final piece of the puzzle for Liverpool

Salah is showing no signs of slowing down, Alisson remains the best goalkeeper in the Premier League and the Reds’ defence dominates opposing attacks at will.
However, striker remains a frustrating position for Slot, with Nunez and Jota combining for just 11 league goals between them.
Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo have both been used as makeshift forwards this season to varying levels of success, but neither produce their best performances in the position.

Isak would be a remarkable upgrade on the position, and it is easy to see why Crouch believes Liverpool will be unrivalled in the coming years if he moves to Anfield.
Thriving when given licence to move about the pitch, the Swedish striker’s link-up play is underrated and the 25-year-old would find it easy to gel with Salah.
What’s more, Isak’s goal-scoring abilities would take some of the pressure off the Egyptian, likely increasing his longevity and Liverpool’s long-term success.
