Bailey Peacock-Farrell is set to start for Leeds tonight in their Championship game against Wolves, according to a reliable journalist.

Phil Hay, from the Yorkshire Evening Post, reported the news on his personal Twitter page on Wednesday evening, ahead of the official team news.

The 21-year-old will make just his second appearance for Leeds after playing in a 1-1 draw with QPR in the Championship two years ago.

Leeds take on league leaders Wolves at Elland Road tonight after a string of poor results has left their play-off hopes in tatters.

The game kicks off at 7.45pm and is being broadcast on Sky Sports.

Football Insider verdict:

This has to come as a major surprise to Leeds fans after pre-match comments from Paul Heckingbottom were none too complimentary about the young keeper. That led most people to think that he wouldn’t get his chance in such a high-profile game against such tough opposition. Well, Heckingbottom obviously believes he’s good enough to take his chance and Peacock-Farrell must now grasp opportunity – literally, with both hands.
