'Massive' – Toby Alderweireld drops hint in Twitter message to Tottenham fans
Toby Alderwerield has sent a Twitter message to Tottenham fans ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final against Man United.
Pictured in the Spurs home kit, Alderweireld says it’s a “Massive Matchday!” and includes a fist emoji.
Alderweireld posted the message to his personal Twitter account ahead of the game at Wembley on Saturday evening, and fans are hoping that it’s a hint that he will be starting the game. Or at least that he’ll make the bench.
Alderweireld made his first Premier League start of the year last week as Tottenham drew 1-1 with Brighton, after being frozen out of the first-team set-up by Mauricio Pochettino.

Football Insider verdict:
Fans will be desperately hoping that this is a huge hint that Alderweireld will indeed start today. He sent a similar tweet ahead of the Brighton game, with him pictured in the away kit. He looked sharp in that game, despite the result, and fans would love to see him reprise his partnership with Jan Vertonghen at the heart of the Tottenham defence. However, we can see Pochettino reverting to Davinson Sanchez and continuing his hardball approach to a player who is probably off in the summer.
