McLeish: I know Edouard and Ajer are pushing their agents to quit Celtic
Alex McLeish has suggested Odsonne Edouard and Kristoffer Ajer are “working the oracle” to quit Celtic ahead of talks with Ange Postecoglou.
The former Scotland boss, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, admitted the pair would want to test themselves at a higher level “if they have any ambition at all”.
Speaking at his first Celtic press conference (June 25th), Postecoglou revealed he planned to hold talks with Ajer and Edouard over their futures.
He refused to rule out keeping either player and insisted he would make the best decision for the club.
Both Edouard and Ajer are out of contract next summer.
Football Insider revealed in April the French striker wants out, while the centre-back publicly stated he expects to leave.

McLeish admitted the duo would be pushing their agents to strike a move regardless of what Postecoglou has to say.
McLeish told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “In my experience in the game, I would feel that if there’s an offer on the table for these guys, they they could be working the oracle to get their agents to secure moves for them.
“To try something else, to try Europe. Again, a big league, a big club.
“I emphasise Celtic are as big as those clubs but they’re not in the biggest League.
“That’s where players, if they’ve got any ambition at all, they want to test themselves in the bigger leagues.”
Edouard played 40 times and scored 22 goals across all competitions last season.
Meanwhile, Ajer made 46 appearances, with two goals under his belt.
