Garry Monk’s side, who currently occupy a play-off spot, will be looking to maintain their status when the travel to St James’ Park.
By the time, Monk and his team play the Magpies, the home side may have already secured promotion to the Premier League, only if Huddersfield lose to Preston earlier on in the day.
That match will most likely see striker Dwight Gayle miss the encounter and possibly the rest of the season as the club confirmed that there is no timescale on his current hamstring injury.
Attacking trio Ritchie, Atsu and Shelvey will be tasked to provide the threat in the final third from their crossing, pace to passing abilities.

Ahead of the mouthwatering encounter, Quinn offered his thoughts on the match and what the home team should do in order to pick up all three points.
“The Magpies will need to go more direct against Leeds United at St James’ Park on Friday night,” Quinn wrote in the Chronicle.
“It’s essential that Matt Ritchie, Christian Atsu and Jonjo Shelvey provide good delivery from set pieces and the wide channels to really give whoever Benitez opts for up front something to attack.”
Leeds will go into the encounter full of confidence after they had beaten promotion chasers, Preston 3-0 on home soil last Saturday.
By contrast, Benitez’ side go into this encounter having lost an away trip to sixth-placed Sheffield Wednesday.
However, the north-east club did inflict a 2-0 defeat on their opponents when the duo met in November at Elland Road.
A similar performance from Newcastle would stall Monk’s chances of clinching that all-important play-off spot.
