Mills: Kane may stay at Tottenham after reveal via Romano
Danny Mills has insisted there is still a good chance Harry Kane remains at Tottenham next season.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Leeds United and England defender after Fabio Paratici revealed he was looking forward to watching Kane play for Spurs.
Fabrizio Romano reported on 4 July that Paratici had told Sky Sport that he wants to “enjoy” Kane at Tottenham.
Football Insider exclusively revealed on 9 April Kane had told friends he wants to quit the club this summer.
This site broke the news on 9 July Man United are the frontrunner for his signature after a breakthrough in talks.
A Spurs source has updated to reveal Nuno has requested two Man United stars as part of a swap deal along with £100m for Kane.

“Definitely there’s a chance he can stay because if Daniel Levy says ‘Not for sale’ then he’s not for sale,” Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“It’s as simple as that. He might have to stay and that’s a brave call. So far, Harry Kane has said ‘I want to challenge for things, I want trophies.’ He’s not come out and said he’s leaving.
“He can force that issue and he can make it very, very difficult. That might not make him the most popular at Spurs. But you’ve got to have guaranteed offers on the table of who’s going to take him.
“We assume there’s a little bit of interest but nobody’s come in with hard cash and said ‘Boom, there you go.’ Until they do that, it’s just speculation.”
Kane has three years left to run on his Spurs contract after signing a six-year deal in 2018.
He has scored 221 goals and provided 47 assists in 336 games across all competitions for the north London outfit.
