Murillo responds after Nottingham Forest agree Ange Postecoglou deal
Nottingham Forest players shared their instant reaction to the club’s official announcement of Ange Postecoglou.
Nottingham Forest moved quickly to target Postecoglou to take over after Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked earlier this week.
Football Insider revealed that Nuno was set to be dismissed following “crisis talks” with owner Evangelos Marinakis that broke down, and that was confirmed by the club on 8 September.
Tension had started to rise after the Portuguese shared his dissatisfaction with the club’s transfer activity at the start of the season, whilst also pointing out that the relationship with Marinakis had deteriorated.
With poor results on the pitch, the club made the decision to sack Nuno and they wasted no time in naming Postecoglou as his replacement.

Ange Postecoglou announced at Nottingham Forest
Forest announced that Postecoglou has officially been appointed as the club’s new head coach on 9 September on Instagram.
Players shared their instant reaction with defender Murillo and club-record signing Omari Hutchinson sharing a like on the post.
This comes after Football Insider revealed that Postecoglou was on Nottingham Forest’s shortlist if Nuno was to be sacked, and the club have now moved decisively to bring him in.
He joins the club after two years at Tottenham, where the side finished in 17th place in the Premier League, but lifted the Europa League. However, the Australian manager was sacked in the summer, as Thomas Frank took over at Spurs.
Postecoglou has been appointed in time to sit in the dugout for Saturday’s clash with Arsenal and will bring members of his backroom staff from Tottenham with him to his new club.

Postecoglou faces injury concern amid Ola Aina blow
Forest will face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on 13 September, but the new manager already faces an immediate challenge.
Defender Ola Aina picked up a knock while on international duty with Nigeria and was substituted off in the final game for his national side due to a knock.
Forest fans are extremely concerned by Aina’s injury, with suggestions that Postecoglou’s poor injury record may have already followed him to the City Ground from his two seasons at Spurs.
The side will also be without Oleksandr Zinchenko, as he will not be eligible to face his parent club while on loan, leading to a selection headache in Postecoglou’s first game in charge.
