Newcastle agree Marc Guehi terms – sources
Newcastle United are now in advanced talks to sign Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, sources have told Football Insider.
The North East giants have agreed personal terms with the England international, who is keen to move to St James’ Park this summer before the window closes.
Talks are ongoing between the Premier League clubs over a deal worth an initial £50million, which will rise to over £60million.
All parties are confident that a deal will now be agreed, which would see the central defender become a Newcastle player.
The 24-year-old impressed during the summer when representing England at the 2024 Euros, catching Eddie Howe’s eye.
Guehi has been a regular in the Crystal Palace side since moving from Chelsea in 2021 for a fee of £18million, having played 111 games in all competitions.

Football Insider revealed that the Premier League side attempted to sign AC Milan’s Fikayo Tomori and Malick Thiaw but were unsuccessful.
With Steve Botman and Jamaal Lascelles out injured until 2025, bringing in a central defender was crucial to provide the necessary cover and depth.
