Newcastle expected 4-4-1-1 v Leeds: 23-year-old axed in two changes
By Harvey Byrne
Newcastle are expected to make two changes to their starting line-up which takes on Leeds in the Championship on Friday evening.
Manager Rafa Benitez is likely axe attacker Ayoze Perez from the Magpies eleven after the 23-year-old was less than impressive in the 2-1 defeat against Sheffield Wednesday last weekend.
Meanwhile, the Spaniard will be forced into another change after star forward Dwight Gayle left the field against the Owls with an injury and has since been ruled out of the Good Friday encounter.
These changes are expected to see Serbian Aleksandar Mitrovic return to the starting line-up, while Isaac Hayden is also likely to return to the midfield after he was left out of the match against Wednesday as a precaution.
Goalkeeper Karl Darlow is one of the few guaranteed names on the team sheet after making the club’s number one spot his own this season.

Ahead of him is likely to see an unchanged back four in Vurnon Anita, Jamaal Lascelles, Chancel Mbemba and Paul Dummett with injuries to Ciaran Clark and DeAndre Yedlin restricting Benitez from making many changes at the back.
The midfield also sees one minor change alongside Hayden coming in with Mohamed Diame moving from the midfield four and into a more attacking role after he struggled in the centre against Sheffield Wednesday.
Usual stars Jonjo Shelvey and Matt Ritchie are also likely to play in the midfield and they will be looking to feed Mitrovic, who has just four Championship goals this season against a strong Leeds back four.
