Newcastle fans go berserk on Twitter after referee appointment v Brighton

Newcastle fans have gone berserk on Twitter after Bobby Madley was appointed as the referee to take charge of their title-showdown with Brighton.
The EFL announced the matchday officials on their official website on Monday.
The Premier League ref showed Fabricio Coloccini a red card and awarded Sunderland a penalty in last season’s Tyne-Wear derby at the Stadium of Light which led to the Magpies being humiliated 3-0 by their bitter rivals.
The Argentine had his red card rescinded at a later date which proved that Madley’s decision was incorrect.
He then took charge of the loss at Southampton and the 0-0 draw against Aston Villa which saw Newcastle’s relegation confirmed.

The Toon Army raced to social media on Tuesday to vent their anger at what they believe to be a disadvantage to their side in the most important game of their season yet.
Rafa Benitez’s side are one point clear of Brighton at the top of the Championship and the clash on February 28 could go a long way to deciding who will lift the league title come the end of the season.
Here is a selection of tweets from Newcastle fans about Madley’s appointment:

Brighton treat the opposition's penalty area like a bouncy castle in an earthquake, and they're putting Bobby Madley in charge.. Great.
