Newcastle fans say same thing about Lloyd Kelly transfer after journalist update

Newcastle United fans have all said the same thing about Lloyd Kelly’s future at the club after a new report.

According to Luke Edwards of The Telegraph, the Magpies have rejected a bid for the 26-year-old from Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

The bid made was nowhere near Newcastle’s valuation for the defender, but it is currently unknown whether or not Fenerbahce will return with an improved offer.

The central defender only joined Newcastle last summer on a free transfer, reuniting with Eddie Howe after his Bournemouth contract expired.

Kelly is under contract at St. James’ Park until 2029, but he has struggled to nail down a regular position as he has only started four Premier League fixtures this season.

The former Bournemouth star has made 13 appearances in all competitions and has played a total of 593 minutes so far.

Newcastle fans are surprised the club rejected the bid for Lloyd Kelly

Football Insider revealed that the Magpies need to sell some players if they want to make any signings due to their financial situation and profit and sustainability rules.

Newcastle fans believe it’s “slightly crazy” that the club rejected the bid given that they bought him for free, with others claiming he’s “pony.”
