Newcastle fans suggest Elliot Anderson ‘sell-on clause’ after major update

Newcastle United fans have admitted their regret over selling Elliot Anderson after he has been linked with an England call-up.

The 21-year-old swapped St. James’ Park for the City Ground during the summer transfer window, in a move that the Magpies had to make to aid their financial fair play and avoid any points deductions.

However, the central midfielder has kicked on at Nottingham Forest and has featured in all nine of their Premier League games so far.

Anderson has provided two assists and has caught the attention of the international setup after playing for England’s Under-21s.

According to the Daily Mail, Anderson is now in line for a senior call-up to the England squad for the upcoming games in November.

It would mark the first time Anderson has been involved in the England team, and it has left Newcastle fans rueing his sale even more.
