Newcastle told to complete four January signings after Man City reveal today - pundit
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe will be desperate to overhaul his entire defence in January, according to Paddy Kenny.
The former Republic of Ireland shot-stopper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the Magpies are showing a critical “lack of concentration” at the back.
Newcastle slumped to a 2-0 defeat away at Arsenal today (November 27th) to leave them winless in the league so far.
The defeat means they have now conceded a league-worst 29 league goals.
Football Insider exclusively revealed today that Man City will block Nathan Ake from joining the Magpies in January after links emerged regarding a potential move.
This site also revealed earlier this month (November 11th) that Howe’s priority is to recruit two centre-backs and a central midfielder in January.

Kenny insisted Howe will be desperate to bring in as many as four fresh faces in defence.
“Listen, it’s an old defensive unit – I’m sure Howe will want to strengthen that,” he told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
“You can’t keep conceding goals game after game, especially after you’ve just scored yourself – like against Brentford.
“It just shows a lack of concentration. That is a key thing that was drilled into me when I was playing. It’s this concept of being really solid for 5-10 minutes after scoring.
“You go into two banks of four if you have to – or stick everyone behind the ball.
“If you concede straight away you go from being on the front foot to being on your backside.
“It’s something they’ve definitely got to address.”
Howe Started Emil Krafth, Jamal Lascelles, Fabian Schar and Matt Ritchie at the back.
They are the only winless side in the Premier League.
