Newcastle told to sign Rodon and newly-available 28-yr-old who has ‘heart set on move’ – Kenny
Paddy Kenny has told Newcastle to sign Joe Rodon and Lucas Digne in the January transfer window.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider
According to the Daily Mail (20 December), Everton defender Digne is being discussed by Newcastle chiefs ahead of a potential deal in January.

The 43-time France international is on the fringes at Everton after a fall-out with Toffees boss Rafa Benitez.
A Spurs source also told Football Insider earlier this month (4 December) Rodon has his heart set on leaving the north Londoners, either on loan or permanently, in pursuit of game time.
Kenny claims Newcastle need more than just Rodon and Digne.
“That defence is so poor,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“No one has conceded more goals in the Premier League and that isn’t a surprise.
“That says it all. Come January they need to bring in some quality players.
“Rodon and Digne, that’s a good start. They need more than that though, a full new defence would be ideal.
“How realistic that is, I don’t know. If Newcastle can’t keep clean sheets they have no chance of staying up.
“Rodon and Digne instantly improve that team but is that enough to stay up? I don’t think so.
“Get them signed, get another centre-back and a right-back and they have a chance.”

The Magpies have won one game from 19 in all competitions this season.
They sit three points from safety in the Premier League table.
