Rangers attacker Josh Windass has claimed on Twitter that he has enjoyed his partnership with Alfredo Morelos in attack this season after sharing a tweet showing the pair had a total of 52 goals and assists between them.
With 36 goals between the pair – 18 each – the duo ended the season tied as the club’s top goalscorer after Windass netted in the remarkable 5-5 draw with Hibernian on Sunday.
Both players could be on the move this summer after impressive goal hauls, with Windass taking to Twitter to priase what could prove to be their only season together.
“Two goals and assists between me and Alfredo . Not a bad first season partnership,” Windass said on his personal Twitter account.

Football Insider verdict
Sometimes you really have to wonder if Josh Windass is deliberately stupid or if it just comes naturally to him. Hours after seeing their side finish third in the league, Windass takes to Twitter lauding his season like it is something to celebrate. The 24-year-old’s tweet is utterly baffling – but then this is someone who it appears at times takes great pleasure in baiting Rangers fans on social media. With Rangers having failed to lift a major trophy in seven years, Windass and Morelos could have hit double the number that they did but if there’s no trophy to show for it then it is utterly worthless. Someone really needs to have a word with Windass and tell him, in no uncertain terms, that despite all the goals and assists he made this season – he has been a disappointment this season and fell well short of the standards expected. It’s maybe a well-worn cliche, but at Rangers – and Celtic – finishing second is as good as last. Someone should remind Windass that the Gers only managed third.
