Nottingham Forest fans have been left fuming at Ola Aina after his performance in their heavy Premier League defeat v Newcastle United.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side fell to a 4-3 defeat at St James’ Park despite taking the lead through Callum Hudson-Odoi just six minutes into the game.
Goals from Lewis Miley, Jacob Murphy, and a brace from Alexander Isak sent the hosts into half-time with a 4-1 lead, before Nikola Milenkovic and Ryan Yates made the scoreline respectable.
However, the focus of the travelling fans was fixed on the performance of Aina after the 28-year-old was at fault for a number of goals they conceded.
The first Newcastle goal came following a needless free kick, the second after the right wing-back was beaten on the wing, and the third from a penalty given away for a “stupid” hand ball.
As a result, Nottingham Forest fans have been heavily critical of his display, while many are suggesting his performances have been on a downward spiral in recent weeks.
