Nottingham Forest have taken to Twitter to support Gary Brazil’s decision to play Jordan Smith in goal ahead of Vladimir Stojkovic.
The Reds released the team news an hour before they kick-off against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday and fans were quick to offer praise to the academy-product.
The Serbian keeper played in all but one of Forest’s Championship games up until January when he was dropped from the first team for a series of poor performances.
Stojkovic, formerly of Sporting CP and Partizan Belgrade, replaced the injured Stephen Henderson for Tuesday night’s clash with Fulham and conceded three goals in the narrow defeat.
Brazil has now decided to give Smith his first ever start for Forest ahead of Stojkovic.
The 22-year-old made his debut when he came off the bench to replace the injured Henderson din the game against Norwich, and conceded two goals in his 67 minutes of action during the 5-1 loss.
Forest fans took to Twitter to express their support of Brazil’s decision to play the academy product in goals.
