Nottingham Forest fans have ripped into Ryan Yates following the 3-1 loss against Tottenham on Sunday (7 April).

Micky van de Ven and Pedro Porro then fired in to clinch an important victory for Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Nottingham Forest fans rage at midfield man as Spurs stats emerge

Forest captain Yates certainly took plenty of criticism from his supporters during the match, which was understandable given his poor display.

Given the nod by Nuno Espirito Santo from the start, the 26-year-old was substituted with just under 10 minutes remaining.

The midfielder made five fouls during his 81 minutes on the pitch, one of which resulted in a yellow card, with Yates winning just two of his nine duels and losing possession of the ball five times.

Many Tottenham fans meanwhile feel the player should have been shown a second yellow card for gesturing towards the VAR monitor after an incident with James Maddison.
