Nottingham Forest: Micah Richards explodes at Dan Ndoye offside call: ‘absolutely ridiculous’
Dan Ndoye saw a second-half goal controversially ruled out for offside as Nottingham Forest drew 0-0 with Fulham on Sunday afternoon.
The Swiss winger thought he had given the Reds the lead in the 63rd minute at the City Ground, only for referee Samuel Barrott to be instructed to rule the goal out after a lengthy VAR review.
The 25-year-old had earlier seen a penalty washed out for the same reason, as Vitor Pereira’s men were ultimately forced to try and hang on to their point in the latter stages.
Nottingham Forest’s draw with Fulham was followed by Tottenham scoring late to earn a point away at Liverpool, as the relegation battle continues to provide plenty of excitement heading into the final weeks of the campaign.

VISIT THE FOREST MATCH HUBDan Ndoye offside call ‘remarkable’
Forest are fighting for their lives at the foot of the Premier League table, and they remain outside the relegation zone on just goal difference alone after the weekend’s fixtures.
However, that could have been a totally different story had the game of inches fallen in their favour in the crucial moment of the game on Sunday.
Ndoye latched onto Neco Williams’ lofted through ball down the inside left channel, before slotting neatly past Bernd Leno and in at the far post.
The VAR team eventually ruled that the wideman had strayed into an offside position, as replays showed that his left foot was marginally beyond Kenny Tete as the last line of the Fulham defence.
The call has prompted anger from many Forest fans in the aftermath of the game, with the tightness of the margins involved resulting in questions as to how VAR is being used once again.
Micah Richards was keen to emphasise just how tight the call was during his analysis on Match of the Day, but he also noted that the right decision had been made, given the rules at the moment.
“This one here is absolutely ridiculous,” the former Manchester City defender said.

“There’s the run, he finishes it. It comes to this, and its remarkable. It’s so bad, but rules are rules.”
Forest fans rip into Vitor Pereira for substitution
Forest fans have torn into Pereira after his decision to withdraw Morgan Gibbs-White in the 74th minute of Sunday’s stalemate.
The Reds were desperately searching for an all-important winning goal at the time, but the boss still decided to replace the man who is the team’s top scorer with eight league goals this season.
Ryan Yates was the man to come on in place of the attacking midfielder, as Pereira looked to sure things up in the closing stages of the game.
However, the decision has been met with fury by Forest fans on social media, with many suggesting that it “sums up the mentality” at the City Ground at the moment.
Pereira may have had one eye on Thursday’s decisive Europa League clash against Midtjylland, but Forest need points quickly if they are to escape the very real threat of relegation.
