Nottingham Forest senior figure quits – official paperwork filed

Nottingham Forest have confirmed former chairman Tom Cartledge has stepped down from his role as a director, sources have told Football Insider.

As per a Companies House submission on 5 December, it has been revealed Cartledge’s position has been officially terminated at the City Ground.

Football Insider revealed on 3 October the 45-year-old had vacated his role as Forest’s chairman to focus on the running of his family business.

It was confirmed he would remain a member of the board, but he has now left the club altogether.

Cartledge, who is a life-long Forest fan, was only appointed chairman in August last year after replacing Nicholas Randall KC.

He was faced with various challenging moments during his 14 months in charge following the four-point deduction for breaching the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules (PSR) and the appointment of manager Nuno Espirito Santo as Steve Cooper’s replacement.

Nottingham Forest undergo reshuffle after strong Premier League start

Randall, who remained on the club’s board as a non-executive director following the chairmanship change last August, has once again taken up the role of chairman at the City Ground.

He previously held the position for six years following Evangelos Marinakis’s takeover in 2017.

During that time, Randall helped Forest secure their long-awaited return to the Premier League in 2022 and cement their position in the top flight.

The latest boardroom reshuffle comes after Football Insider revealed on 7 August former director of football Kyriakos Dourekas had left his role at the City Ground.

The club’s board is now made up of Randall, co-owner Sokratis Kominakis, director Ioannis Vrentzos and non-executive directors Jonny Owen, Simon Forster and Michael Dugher.

Chris Wood has been in outstanding form after scoring 10 goals in the opening 15 matches.

Football Insider revealed on 7 December Forest are monitoring Brighton striker Evan Ferguson as they look to strengthen their attacking options in January.
