Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg could be frozen out of Tottenham XI amid transfer update – pundit
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg could face an extended period out of the Tottenham starting XI, according to Paul Robinson.
The former White Hart Lane number one, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the 26-year-old was “rightly dropped” as his performances “have not been up to scratch.”
On Sunday, Hojbjerg was benched for the first time in the Premier League this season.

The Denmark international was replaced by January signing Rodrigo Bentancur as Spurs lost 2-0 at home to Wolves.
According to Italian outlet Corriere della Sera (via Sport Witness 15 February), AS Roma are keeping tabs on Hojbjerg ahead of the summer.
Football Insider revealed on 18 May that Jose Mourinho is keen on a reunion with his former Spurs midfield general.
When asked for his assessment of Hojbjerg’s situation, Robinson told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs: “Hojbjerg was rightly dropped.
“His performances have not been up to scratch this season, let’s be honest.
“I like Bentancur and I think he can make a difference once he’s settled. I expect him to be a prominent feature in the starting XI.
“Conte can work as hard as he wants with the players but some of them just aren’t up to it. It will take a couple of transfer windows for Conte to get this team where he wants it.”

Hojbjerg has made 31 appearances across all competitions this season.
His contract in north London runs until the summer of 2025.
