PL giants submit massive bid for West Ham star, likely to be accepted – BBC journalist

Chelsea have submitted a massive £30m plus bonuses bid for West Ham’s Andy Carroll, according to a reliable journalist.
Simon Stone, a BBC journalist, also claims that the bid is “likely to be accepted” and promised to have something on BBC Sport soon.
He announced the news on his personal Twitter page on Tuesday evening.

This follows an earlier report from Sky Sports which claimed that Chelsea had made contact with West Ham over a deal for Andy Carroll.
It was reported then that West Ham wouldn’t consider a deal unless Chelsea met their valuation.
Football Insider verdict:
One of the January window’s more unlikely transfers seems to be on the verge of going through. West Ham said they wouldn’t sell unless Chelsea met their valuation and it seems like that is £30m plus bonuses. The striker has delivered for West Ham, but only sporadically because of injuries. He’s had chances at big clubs before but maybe none bigger than Chelsea. If he can deliver again at the right end of the league then he might even be in with a shot at a World Cup recall. Stranger things have happened.
In other West Ham news, it has been reported that one Hammers star is the subject of interest from a Serie A club.
