Pundit 'can't believe' FSG amid Liverpool source's Salah update
Frank McAvennie insists Mo Salah will sign a new Liverpool deal after an update from a club source.
The former West Ham hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claims the attacker can’t sign for a bigger or better club.
A Liverpool source has told Football Insider (14th October) club chiefs FSG want to end the impasse over Salah’s future with a deal struck before January.
It is understood the Reds are preparing a deal worth £350,000-a-week, plus bonuses, to make him the club’s highest earner.
The total value of the contract would be over £82million, with Salah looking for terms that run until 2026.
McAvennie insists the attacker is “god” to Liverpool fans and claims he can’t move to any other club where he is as loved as he is now.

“Salah absolutely loves it up there in Liverpool,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“It’s a special city with special fans. Where else in the world is he going to get this kind of treatment.
“He is god to those fans. Salah, I’ve said it before, he’s the best in the world right now.
“You have to give the best player in the world whatever he wants, that’s just the way it is.
“I almost can’t believe it sounds like the owners are giving him what he wants.
“Just because I know how stingy they have been in the past.
“It was just this summer where the was talk of Henderson leaving because of a poor contract offer.
“Listen, there would be riots if he didn’t sign the deal. I’m sure it will be taken care of.”
