Pundit claims Kane is the architect of Grealish move to Man City amid Sky reveal
Frank McAvennie insists Jack Grealish’s decision to leave Aston Villa may have been influenced by Harry Kane’s current situation.
The former Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, is certain the attacker isn’t leaving the Midlands to earn more money.
Football Insider revealed yesterday (4 August) Man City have agreed tp pay an initial £75million fee rising to £100m with add-ons for Grealish.
On Thursday morning (5th August) Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol confirmed earlier reports that Villa were prepared to pay the England international more than he will earn at City.
McAvennie claims this proves Grealish’s decision is motivated by the desire to win trophies.
The former striker also pointed to Kane’s failure to so far leave Tottenham as motivation for Grealish’s actions.

“This is the same thing as Harry Kane,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Jack is a Villa supporter and he loves Villa like Kane loves Tottenham.
“But they aren’t going to win anything.
“At Man City, he will win everything and it’s not about money because Villa are apparently offering him more money to stay.
“Football is about winning, I wonder if Grealish has seen Kane and then made his mind up?
“Kane’s 28 now and has nothing, if he doesn’t move he could finish his career without a trophy.
“Grealish won’t want that and some players never get the chance to get that big move where you are almost certain to win trophies.
“Jack has to jump at this, Villa are a good side but if he wants to win league titles and European cups, he needs to go.
“Villa are also getting one hell of a deal.”
