Pundit 'very surprised' by Solskjaer as new Man United dressing room unrest reported

Paul Robinson is “very surprised” Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still in a job after dressing room unrest was revealed.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Premier League goalkeeper said the 48-year-old has been given more than enough time in the dugout at Old Trafford.

According to The Telegraph (November 15th), United’s fringe players are increasingly frustrated about their lack of game time.

Solskjaer’s reluctance to rotate despite during a spell of dismal results is said to have angered certain members of the squad.

As revealed by Football Insider (10th November), the board will sack Solskjaer if he does not oversee an immediate revival after the break.

“You never know with Manchester United,” he told Football Insider.

“The greatest gift you can give a manager is time and Solskjaer has been given plenty of it. Since United last won a trophy, City have won 10. How much time can you give a manager when you run the biggest football club in the world?

“Solskjaer has had more time than a lot of other managers would be given. I’m very surprised he’s still in a job.

“Yes, he has improved the team from when he took over but I don’t think he is a top-level manager. I don’t think he can take them onto that next level.

“They will not win the Champions League or the Premier League this season. Is an FA Cup and a top-6 finish good enough for Man United? It isn’t in my books.

“It’s going to cost them money though because all of the candidates other than [Zinedine] Zidane are in work.”

In other news, it can be revealed a 100k-a-week star is set to leave Man United in January amid a ‘100%’ claim.
