Rangers expected 4-4-2 v Dundee: Senior midfielder axed
By James Black
Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha is likely to make one change to the side from the one which saw off Ross County 3-1 before the international break when Dundee are the visitors to Ibrox on Saturday.
After recovering from an injury sustained against Hearts which ruled him out of the trip to the Highlands, Josh Windass should be fit enough to replace veteran Niko Kranjcar on the left of midfield.
Caixinha’s side put in their best performance of the season to date when they faced County in Dingwall with two first-half goals from Alfredo Morelos and a last-minute strike from Eduardo Herrera securing the three points for the Gers.
An unchanged side would mean no place for Mexican midfielder Carlos Pena as he continues to work towards his first start since his £2.2million summer move from Mexican side C.D. Guadalajara
Fellow new signings Aaron Nemane, Declan John, Dalcio and Eduardo Herrera will all have to make do with a seat on the substitutes bench.

Goalkeeper Wes Foderingham should retain his place between the sticks with James Tavernier and captain Lee Wallace in their regular full-back berths.
Bruno Alves has recovered from a bout of gastroenteritis he picked up on international duty with Portugal and should take his place alongside compatriot Fabio Cardoso at the heart of Rangers’ defence.
Ryan Jack and Graham Dorrans have both had good starts to their Rangers careers and will be ecpected to carry that on in the midfield engine room.
Both will be key for Rangers if they are to pick up three points against the Dens Park side.
Daniel Candeias and Josh Windass will likely be charged with getting in behind the Dundee defence to provide opportunities for Rangers’ strikers as they try close the gap on league leaders Aberdeen.
Colombian striker Alfredo Morelos will be desperate to add to his goal tally so far this season after an impressive five goals in his first seven appearances and should likely partner Kenny Miller up front despite Eduardo Herrera being fit again.
In other Rangers news, Kenny Miller has been blown away by one of the club’s signings.
