Rangers fan favourite Clint Hill has embarrassed Celtic boss Brendan Rodger after catching the Celtic manager out with another false claim hours after he was rumbled making up a story about Real Madrid wanting to sign Charly Musonda.
Rodgers had claimed after last year’s 1-1 Old Firm draw that Hill had told him he had “he got away with” conceding a penalty to the Hoops, as quoted by the Daily Record at the time.
The veteran defender made an expertly timed challenge on Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths as the game entered injury time at the end of 90 minutes, just minutes after Hill had equalised and silenced Celtic Park.
After Rodgers was caught out claiming Real Madrid had tried to sign Charly Musonda after he impressed them in a game he played no part in, a Rangers fan quizzed Hill on Twitter if the interaction between himself and the Celtic boss had ever taken place.
Hill, now with Carlisle United after leaving Ibrox over the summer, issued an emphatic one word response.

The former QPR defender remains popular with Gers fans with Bluenoses regularly travelling to Carlisle to see Hill in action for his new side when their fixtures don’t clash with those of the Ibrox giants.
The 39-year-old made 31 appearances during his sole season with the Gers before becoming the first victim of Pedro Caixinha’s summer rebuild when he was told he wouldn’t  be getting an extension to his contract.
