'Get their finger out' - Rangers fans beg board to agree terms with young hot shot

Rangers striker Ryan Hardie has been prolific while on loan with Championship side Livingston in the second-half of the season – and Gers fans are desperate to see the 21-year-old sign a new contract at Ibrox before his existing one ends in the summer.

Hardie helped the Lions to second-place in the Championship and could fire them to the Scottish Premiership via the playoffs before his loan deal comes to an end.

The Scotland Under-21 international has hit the net seven times in 14 appearances at the Tony Macaroni Arena and it has Rangers fans crying out for the Gers to give him a new contract – with one fan questioning why he was not given a chance in the first team.

Here are some of their comments on Twitter:

Hardie is Livingston’s top league goalscorer this season with eight strikes in the Championship to help the West Lothian side into the playoffs.

The striker has made 17 appearances for the first-team at Ibrox after breaking into the side under Ally McCoist in 2014.

With Kenny Miller and Alfredo Morelos both looking likely to leave the Gers in the summer and Jason Cummings’ future up in the air, Hardie could get his chance next season at Ibrox although with no contract offer officially on the table yet, the striker could yet join the expected exodus at the end of the season.
