Rangers fans must treat every appearance by first teamer as if it is his last - view

COMMENT
Rangers fans delighted with the club’s recent form – their 4-1 win over St Johnstone was their fifth in a row – will also be delighted with the news that Alfredo Morelos is set to stay with the club until the end of the season.
Despite a lot of speculation linking the first team star with a multi-million move to China, the Chinese transfer window passed with the 21-year-old still at Ibrox, with the Scottish Sun reporting that the team interested in him – Beijing Rehne – signed a striker named Nizamdin Ependi instead.
It would not be surprising though if clubs once again expressed an interest in the Colombian striker once the Scottish season is over.
Morelos has had a superb first season for the Gers, with his goal in the victory over St Johnstone his 17th of the season so far, and he looks a real bargain for the £1million the Light Blues paid HJK Helsinki in the summer.
If Morelos does depart the Gers in the summer, supporters shouldn’t be too upset as he will have stayed until the end of the season to spearhead an unlikely looking league and cup double, but also the Light Blues will be set to receive a huge transfer fee for the player.
As we have seen since January, the acquisitions made by director of football Mark Allen have improved the Gers no end, so he could be trusted to spend the Morelos money.
For now though, supporters should just appreciate a player in the best form of his career.
