Gers fans think the 21-year-old first teamer deserves to pick up the gong after the way he has hit the ground running following his summer move from HJK Helsinki – with one fan saying the Colombian was “streets ahead” of his rivals.
Here are some of their comments on Twitter:
Morelos, streets ahead. Then pretty close for second between McKenna and Morgan.

Good to see Morelos included on this list, must have a decent chance of winning it too. While there have been flaws in his game at times, his first season at Ibrox has been a big positive – especially considering he came straight in from Finland without a break. https://t.co/Wd0ZtGNL1H

Excellent chance of winning it, if it was an honest poll, but knowing how Scumothy have a knack of rigging things, it would make Tierney a certainty

The Colombian recently signed a new deal with the Ibrox giants after a number of bids were made by Chinese Super League side Beijing Renhe to sign the 21-year-old.
Morelos joined the Light Blues last summer from HJK Helsinki for £1million and has been an absolute steal after hitting the net 18 times in all competitions.
The Colombian could even find himself part of his nation;s squad heading to Russia for this summer’s World Cup after his goalscoring exploits in Scotland gained attention in South America.
