'Robbed', 'Embarrassing' - Rangers fans rage as Ibrox star misses out on POTY shortlist

Rangers winger Daniel Candeias has missed out on a nomination for the PFA Scotland Premiership Player of the Year shortlist – and Gers fans are stunned he hasn’t earned a nod for his performances this season.

The Portuguese ace has been in fantastic for this season for Rangers with ten assists and six goals in 32 league appearances but has failed to make the four-man shortlist for the award, as confirmed by PFA Scotland on their official Twitter account.

The 30-year-old joined the Ibrox giants in the summer from Benfica and has been one of the few Pero Caixinha’s to make an impact in Scottish football.

Gers fans were in disbelief that Candeias didn’t even make the shortlist for the award – with one fan claiming the Ibrox ace was “robbed.”

Here are some of their comments on Twitter:

Candeias performances this season saw the winger rewarded with a one-year contract extension to keep him at Ibrox now until the summer of 2020.
