This comes after the Daily Star announced that a deal had been reached between the two parties and Gerrard would be arriving at Ibrox on a three-year contract with Gary McAllister as his number two.
After hearing the news, there has been out and out hysteria among Gers supporters on social media.
Gerrard, 37, is a huge name in the footballing world after helping Liverpool to two FA Cup victories, one Champions League, two League Cups and one UEFA Cup, and were he to take over then the Gers would have a living legend on their hands.
It should come as no surprise then that reactions from Light Blues fans have been as rapturous as they have been, with it coming just hours after Graeme Murty was given his marching orders.

It would seem that Sunday’s defeat to Celtic was one loss too many against their old city rivals for Murty.
Fans have been calling for hishead since the 3-2 defeat at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership in March – a result which saw the Light Blues go from second in the table, within touching distance of the boys, down to third and a world away from challenging for the title.
