The 18-year-old defender is highly rated in east London with his most notable appearance coming in his Premier League bow against Arsenal, where he helped keep worl-class attacker Mesut Ozil quiet.
However, he has struggled to find a consistent run int he first team since and has made just four appearances in all competitions for West Ham this season.
This has all lead to a temporary move to Rangers looking likely and Gers fans shared on social media that they were excited by the prospect.

Rangers have already made the loan signings of Emerson Hyndman and Jon Toral this window, while they utilised the loan market last season with the additions of Nathan Oduwa, Dominic Ball and Gedion Zelalem.
The Gers will now be looking for a successful second half of the campaign as they look to secure second place in their first season back in the top flight.
