Rangers fans have given a mixed reaction to the news that Nottingham Forest manager Mark Warburton is reportedly looking to sign Barrie McKay.
The Ibrox ace’s existing deal runs out in just over 12 months and Warburton has a big job on his hands to rebuild his Forest side after narrowly avoiding relegation from the English Championship earlier this month.
The Scottish winger is often criticised by the Rangers fans but his stats show that he has still played a big role in what has been an underwhelming return to the Scottish Premiership for the Glaswegians.
Despite that though, fans don’t know what to make of the latest transfer news, with some saying he is worth keeping for the future, while others joke that they could get £30million for the young Scot.
Here is a selection of tweets from Gers supporters:
If Barry McKay wants a lift to Notts forest I will take him
Al even buy him a cheerio coffee at Abington services

Don't understand the mentality of some of our fans, mckay has bad season and they wouldn't care if he left. He's our most gifted player

Even with one year on his contract Barrie McKay must be worth £30 million given the fees being quoted for some standard players up here 🎣

McKay has played in all but three of Rangers’ games this season, making 44 appearances across all competitions.
He’s scored six goals and supplied 11 assists for the Glasgow club.
Warburton exited the club in acrimonious circumstances back in February and took over the helm at Nottingham Forest.
