Mark Warburton put up a robust defence of his record at Rangers on the first anniversary of his exit from the club.
Warburton fell out with the club chiefs at Ibrox and left under a cloud but he is adamant that his transfer business was good.
He points to three Rangers’ players, James Tavernier, Josh Windass and Wes Foderingham as proof of his positive legacy at the club.
Talking to the Scottish Sun he said, “I’m not being arrogant about this. It’s the last thing I’d be.
“But, yes, I’m very satisfied at seeing a number of the boys we brought to the club still being important players for Rangers.
“I’m certainly not surprised by the impact of Wes, Tav and Josh. I’m delighted for them.”
Rangrs fans delivered a mixed response to his interview, with one admitting that he has a point and that whatever else he did wrong, he did bring some good players to the club.
Others aren’t so quick to forget the man they think betrayed them when he left to go down south.
Here is a selection of the best reactions from Rangers fans after Warburton’s comments:

Taking credit for form players: Bates, Windass, Tav, Wes. They’ve improved massively since he left, especially Tav defensively. Murty has had some influence on him.

Mark Warburton trying to take credit for players he signed doing well under another manager ????. Sound mate.

Warburton merely points out that players doing well now were signed by him. Fair enough

And if he had a single idea how to set them up into a team & change tactically when things are going wrong then he would still be the manager. Also funny he didn’t mention major wages wasted on Barton, Kranjar & Senderos.
