Rangers remain in discussions with Brighton over centre-back Connor Goldson but no agreement over fee has been reached, according to an Insider.
Four Lads Had a Dream, a solid source of Rangers news, has claimed that despite an earlier report from the Scottish Sun, no agreement has yet been reached between the two clubs.
Further to that, they also claim that the reported fee of £3.5million is “vastly inflated”.
Rangers remain in discussion with Brighton regarding the signing of Connor Goldson
Talk this morning of agreements reached, fee agreed of £3.5m is NOT true & vastly inflated in terms of fees being discussed
Both teams remain in dialogue & hopefully a deal can be concluded soon

Football Insider verdict:
Rangers fans are keen to get deals done and there’s feverish talk in the press on a daily basis about how much they’re agreeing to pay and when deals will be completed. Everyone is in agreement that the Goldson deal is getting there, but it appears that the Scottish Sun has jumped the gun again with its exclusive report on Tuesday night. Rangers fans will be frustrated but also heartened by the fact that the club might not have to spend as much as £3.5million to nab their man. That’s a substantial amount of money, although both Rangers and Brighton fans seem to be in agreement that Goldson is a Premier League-level defender who would be a big upgrade for the Gers. The clubs are still talking and both sides are hopeful a deal can be reached soon, which is more positive news. And bear in mind, that deals can’t actually be concluded until the transfer window opens in Scotland on Saturday.
