Kenny: Rangers dressing room will be 'buzzing' after 'massive' transfer boost
Rangers will be “buzzing” after an impressive pre-season – and they can take that momentum with them into the new campaign spearheaded by exciting new signing Fashion Sakala.
So says ex-Premier League goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Steven Gerrard’s side’s recent results.
Rangers drew 0-0 with Brighton and 2-2 with Arsenal in their previous two friendlies as they gear up for their title defence in 2021-22.
Their season opener against Livingston is now just two days away and a crucial Champions League qualifier against Malmo is also on the horizon.
And Kenny insists that Rangers have given themselves a psychological boost heading into the opening throes of the new season.

He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “Getting good results is always good for confidence in the dressing room.
“I try not to judge too much from pre-season but you’re definitely better off winning than losing.
“The two results against Arsenal and a massive side like Real Madrid were very good. I’m sure they’ll have been buzzing after that one.
“It builds that momentum, and obviously they want to continue that off the back of last season and keep hold of the title.“
One blemish on Rangers’ pre-season has been the unexplained absence of star players Joe Aribo and Kemar Roofe.
Kenny told this site yesterday (28th July) that the club needs to offer the fans some clarity over the duo’s situation.
