Celtic pundit shares 'not right in the head' verdict amid £13m Morelos reveal
Many strikers are “not right in the head” and Rangers star Alfredo Morelos is attracting transfer interest because he has retained this “badness.”
That is according to ex-Celtic hitman Frank McAvennie, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the latest in the race Morelos‘ signature.
This site revealed on 26th June that Rangers have told Porto they want £13million for the Colombian striker whose contract expires in 2023.
The Portuguese club has made contact over a potential deal for the 25-year-old who has an infamous disciplinary record.
He has been booked 46 times and been sent off on seven occasions since signing for Rangers in 2017.
McAvennie claims it is “no surprise” to see top clubs take an interest in him.

“Every month he’s been linked somewhere new,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“I’m not taking the mick, they are coming in for him because he’s been playing well. You’ve got to say he’s got his head down and is playing well.
“He’s still got that wee bit of badness about him. I don’t mind that because I was the same. I think most strikers have got a bit of badness in them.
“You need it to because you’re getting lumps kicked out of you by the centre-halves. They are not right in the head a lot of strikers. That’s my excuse anyway.
“So it’s no surprise to see him linked. He’s done great. My biggest thing for Morelos is that Defoe coming in has changed the dynamic for him.
“You can’t beat proper professionals coming in and showing you what they are all about. If he goes away, maybe he can be that for somebody else.”
